Cathedral Set To Battle Little Falls Thursday For Hockey Section Title

The Cathedral Crusaders will take on the Little Falls Flyers Thursday night at the MAC with the Section 6A title on the line. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON, with pregame coverage at 6:45.

The Flyers beat Fergus Falls 4-3 in double overtime in the section quarterfinal at Exchange Arena, then beat top-seeded Apollo 4-1 in the semifinal.

The Crusaders topped Alexandria 5-2 in the quarterfinals at the MAC, then beat Sartell 7-2 in the semifinal at the same venue.

Little Falls is 6-5 all time in Section 6A/4A championship games, while Cathedral is 6-6 in Section 2A/4A/5A/6A championships.
