(Dan DeBaun, WJON News)

ST. CLOUD – Hundreds gathered at Cathedral High School as they hosted a community prayer service for Alyssa Lommel.

Lommel is a St. Cloud native and Cathedral High School graduate. Lommel is recovering from injuries received from frostbite and exposure after she was found unconscious outside a neighbor’s house in Duluth. Lommel had been outdoors for more than nine hours in subzero temperatures. A passer-by found her on the front stoop of the house the next morning.

Hundreds packed into the school cafeteria for the prayer service as friends, families, and alumni prayed for a healthy recovery for Lommel.
