Meet Megan Bjorklund.

She's a 13-year-old, a passionate member of the Cathedral High School dance team and an inspiration for all around her.

Megan has Down syndrome.

But that hasn't slowed her down from achieving her dream of being a dancer. She was on the field with the dance team last night to cheer on her brother Bjorn, a senior on the Cathedral football team.

And according to a KARE-11 interview, Megan's mom, Peg Bjorklund, says her work on the dance team is a dream come true.

"Megan has always wanted to dance and has told us I'm going to dance since she's been a little girl. And finally she gets the opportunity to be at Cathedral High School with one of her brothers -- it's a dream come true," Peg said.

Megan's dad, Byron Bjorklund owns Short Stop Chicken and Custom Catering in St. Cloud. And he says his daughter's inspiring.

"I think it's a message to all of us that you can strive for your goals and set your goals higher than you think you can achieve," said Byron Bjorklund, Megan's father.
