ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud Cathedral is investing in personal laptop computers for every one of their 7th and 8th grade students.

President Mike Mullen says it's in direct response to Cathedral's Master Plan.  The students will carry the laptops back and forth between home and school and will have access to them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Principal Lynn Grewing says the school carefully considered both iPads and laptops, and decided laptops offer more options.

The Cathedral 7th and 8th grade students during the coming school year as part of a pilot project.  Eventually they plan to have laptops for every student in grades 7 through 12.
