Cathedral Baseball Advances To State Semifinals

The St. Cloud Cathedral baseball team defeated St. Anthony Village 3-1 Thurdsay afternoon at Dick Putz Field in the Class AA State quarterfinals.  Andrew Thome thew all 7 innings with 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win.  He also struckout 4 and hit a homerun to put the Crusaders on the scoreboard.  Matt Dodge had a 2-run single in the 5th inning to break a 1-all tie.  Cathedral is 22-3 and will play Fairmont at noon Friday in the state semifinals.  Hear the game on AM 1390-the Fan.
