The Timberwolves won 127-124 at Phoenix to being a 7-game road trip Monday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 30 points and 7 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 24 points and 8 rebounds and Derrick Williams added 19 points and 8 rebounds. The Wolves shot 56 percent while Phoenix shot 52 percent.

Twins Beat Rays 2-1 In 10 Innings

The Twins downed Tampa Bay 2-1 in 10 innings Monday afternoon in Florida. Luke Hughes hit a solo homerun in the 10th inning for the game-winner. Hughes scored the other run for the Twins earlier in the game on a throwing error from Kyle Farnsworth. Brian Dozier had 2 hits for the Twins and Carl Pavano threw 4 innings with 1 earned run allowed.

The Vikings Agree On Deal With Rosenfels

The Vikings are bringing back veteran quarterback Sage Rosenfels. Rosenfels has agreed on terms of a new deal. Minnesota acquired Rosenfels off waivers from the Giants last season. He'll likely be the 3rd string quarterback behind Christian Ponder and Joe Webb.

SCSU Basketball Falls in NCAA Tournament

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team lost 76-64 to 13th ranked Metro State Sunday night in the 2nd round of the NCAA Division II tournament in Golden, Colorado. The Huskies played without starting center Tim Bergstrasser and were outrebounded 39-23. Theo Rothstein led the Huskies with 15 points and Brett Putz added 9.

Wild Lose 4-3 To Calgary

The Minnesota Wild lost 4-3 to Calgary Sunday night to fall to 29-30-10 on the season. Minnesota is in 13th place in the Western Conference standings. Erik Christensen scored twice for the Wild and Devin Setoguchi had 1 goal for Minnesota. The Wild scored all 3 of their goals in the 3rd period but Calgary also had 3 3rd period goals. Matt Hackett had 21 saves for the Wild.

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team won their opening round game of the NCAA Division II tournament 77-72 over Bemidji State Saturday. Tim Bergstrasser had 22 points and 7 rebounds and Shaun Jensen had 14 points for the Huskies. SCSU outrebounded Bemidji State 36-22.

SCSU Hockey Advances To Final Five

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated Nebraska-Omaha 3-1 Saturday night to win the WCHA first round best of 3 series 2 games to none and advance to the WCHA Final Five. Jared Festler, Ben Hanowski and Travis Novak each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 32 saves. SCSU scored 2 goals in the 3rd period after the game was tied at 1 after 2.

Vikings Release Hutchinson, Herrera and Griffin

The Vikings released guards Steve Huchinson and Anthony Herrera and cornerback Cedric Griffin Saturday. Hutchinson was scheduled to make $7 Million this season, Herrera $2.7 Million and Griffin about $3 Million. The Vikings will have $23 to $24 Million available when free agency begins Tuesday afternoon at 3pm.
