Charges: Fairfax Plant Worker Got Immigrants Fake IDs

An employee of a Minnesota slaughterhouse is accused of arranging false identifications this year for at least a dozen people. Thirty-one-year-old Mireya Reyes of Fairfax is charged in federal court with five felony counts of aiding and abetting the misuse of Social Security numbers while employed with Triple J Family Farms near Buffalo Lake.

Statewide law enforcement groups in Minnesota say they support community-based youth programs as a way to keep young people out of trouble. A 2012 report from the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs shows that 90 percent of youth involved in intervention programs do not receive tickets, citations or new delinquency charges while receiving programming.
