The Minnesota Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower court decision to dismiss the most serious counts against a teen accused of plotting to kill his family and carry out an attack at Waseca Junior and Senior High School. In Monday's decision, the appeals court judges wrote that they can't speculate whether the teen would have carried out his plan.

Lakeville Police Investigating Harmful Dog Treats

Authorities are investigating after a number of dog owners in Lakeville reported finding nails, screws and other items hidden in discarded food. The residents told police the materials were found in pieces of hot dogs in their yards. They say balls of steel wool also have been found with suspicious capsules inside.
