St. Cloud Rox

The St. Cloud Rox announced the signing of three lefthanded pitchers. Connor Wietgrefe (University of Minnesota), Mason Olson (Brigham Young University) and Aidan Kidd (New Jersey Institute of Technology) who will all be joining the Rox for their first summer in St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Rox were swept by the Willmar Stingers in the 1st round of the Northwoods League playoffs falling 3-2 Monday night. Willmar wins the series 2 games to none.

The Rox lost 6-5 at Willmar to the Stingers in Game 1 of their best of 3 first round playoff series in the Northwoods League Sunday. St. Cloud led 5-4 in the 4th inning before Willmar tied the game in the 5th and took the lead in the 7th inning.

The St. Cloud Rox got a walk-off RBI single from Will Worthington in the 9th inning to complete the 7-6 come from behind win over the Minnesota Mud Puppies Thursday night. Charlie Condon singled in John Nett to tie the game earlier in the 9th inning as St. Cloud overcame a 6-5 9th inning deficit to earn the win.

The St. Cloud Rox got a walk-off 2-run home run from Ike Mazzenga in their 9-7 win over the Minnesota Mud Puppies Wednesday night Mazzenga had 2 hits and 4 RBIs for the day for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Rox completed a 2-game sweep of the Bucks in Waterloo Tuesday night with a 13-8 win. The win also marks 4 straight wins over the Bucks after beating them twice in St. Cloud over the weekend. The Rox scored 7 runs in the 6th inning to grab control of the game Tuesday night.

The St. Cloud Rox scored 6 runs in the 9th inning to break a 3-all tie and beat the Bucks in Waterloo 9-3 Monday night. Trevor Austin went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI, O'Neill Burgos went 2-3 with 2 runs scored, and both Ike Mazzenga and Magnum Hofstetter each drove in 2 runs for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Rox scored 6 runs in the 3rd inning and never trailed in their 10-6 win at home over the Waterloo Bucks Sunday. Hunter Day threw 5 innings with 6 hits and 5 earned runs allowed to get the win and improve to 8-0 this summer.

The St. Cloud Rox lost 5-1 at Mankato Monday night. The Moon Dogs went out to a 4-0 lead before the Rox scored their lone run in the 8th inning. Charlie Condon went 1-2 with a RBI and Brice Mathews, Ike Mezzenga and Garrett Pennington each had a double for the Rox.
