April 15, 2013 Less than a week after playing for SCSU in the Frozen Four in Pittsburgh, Little Falls native Ben Hanowski made his NHL debut for the Calgary Flames and scored a goal in a 4-3 loss.
Wearing #58 for the Flames, Hanowski used his size to jam home a puck past Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom at 11:19 of the third period that cut the Wild lead to 4-2

The Twins got off to a rough start when Peter Bourjos smacked a 2-2 pitch from Kevin Correia out of the park for a 1-0 Angels lead to lead off the game

9 p.m. (EST): The final press conference of the day with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis and various other officials just concluded. The FBI is now leading investigations of the events. Davis confirmed that three people were killed in today's blasts.
CNN is reporting that one of the victims killed was an 8-year-old boy. The Wall Street Journal had reported that as many as five other unexploded devices were found around Boston, but investigators now doubt that they were actually bombs.

April 15, 2013 Former SCSU Husky and Little Falls native Ben Hanowski could make his NHL debut tonight when the Calgary Flames host the Minnesota Wild at Scotiabank Saddledome (8 pm, AM 1390-The Fan).
Hanowski, traded last week by Pittsburgh in exchange for future Hall of Fame forward Jarome Iginla, scored 17 goals and 31 points this season for SCSU
