It's been a heavy road construction season in Sartell with road construction projects on County Road 1/River Road and on 19th Avenue. Fitzthum says the deadline to reopen the River Road is on November 15th. He indicates asphalt is being laid this week. As for 19th Avenue the first phase of the project is wrapping up this week, which is the south portion.

The St. Cloud Police Department is reporting a burglary on 1300 block of 15th Street North. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers joined me on WJON. She explains that a garage was forcibly entered and a black Masterbuilt Smoker was taken.

The Cathedral boys soccer team is back in the Class A State Tournament after defeating Fergus Falls 2-0 last week in Sauk Centre in the Section 8A final. The Crusaders graduated 7 starters which includes their goaltender last season on a state tournament team that finished 15-3.

The Tech girls swimming/diving team is fresh off a 3rd place finish last Saturday and a dual meet victory over Rocori Tuesday. Central Minnesota was well represented with Sartell-St.,Stephen placing first in the true team meet with Sauk Rapids-Rice placing 2nd.

Pheasant hunting in Minnesota opened last weekend. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says the reports he's heard locally is that hunters did well and he's hearing similar reports in other locations in the state. Schmitt explains southwest Minnesota and in the Ortonville area may have done the best.

St. Joe man Ted Bechtold is in the Ukraine teaching English and also running a side project where he and a friend go from Kiev, where they live, to Kharkiv, Ukraine which is near the front line in the war with Russia. He says they deliver food and aid to the people there.

St. Cloud Police is reporting a dog was stolen from a back yard. The location where the dog was stolen was on the 100 block of 31st Ave N in St Cloud on 10/10/2022. The dog is a German Shepherd/Australian mix. A picture of the suspect is above.

The St. Cloud V.A. is hosting an event called "Medication Take Back Day" on October 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is for the public, not just veterans. Everyone is invited to come to the medical center to safely and securely dispose of unused and expired medications.

St. Cloud Police is reporting a few stolen vehicles. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers joined me on WJON. She says one was on the 1200 block of 4th Avenue South where a 2008 white Chevy Equinox was stolen. Minnesota license NLC 760.
