The early teal hunt concluded Wednesday and the goose hunt is underway in Minnesota. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says the early teal hunt from September 3-7 saw an increase in hunters and success for those hunters this year as opposed to last year.

Gas prices have been on a steady decline in Central Minnesota and throughout the country for the last few months. St. Cloud State Dean, School of Public Affairs and Economics professor King Banaian joined me on WJON. He says the reason for this trend is the demand for gas just isn't there.

The St. Cloud Police Department is reporting a theft from vehicle on the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast. A catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers says the Department of Commerce came out with a cap guard label system to help in recovery of catalytic converters.

A return to their winnings ways. That's the goal for the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres. Head Coach Scott Hentges joined me on WJON. The Sabres were 1-8 last season but have already started this season 1-0 after posting a 42-21 win over Tech last week on week zero.

St. Cloud Police is reporting a stolen vehicle on the 800 block of 36th Avenue North when an ATV was taken from a driveway. The ATV is a blue 2004 Polaris Sportsman with a red and gray logo. The registration number on the plate is 318 PX.

The ROCORI Spartans return many key players and are excited for the 2022 season after posting a 5-4 record in 2021. The season already began last week for the Spartans with a 31-10 win over Becker on week zero.
