Jerry Carlson and special guest Brian Cahalan from Goose and Duck Smackers guide service give out GREAT hunting information. If you're going out this weekend, listen right now, and bring home more than your neighbor!
What do you know about the hunter apprentice program? Do you need a hunting license if you're 15 or younger? Can you tell me about the brand new Walk In Access program? The answers to all these questions (and MORE) are yours when you listen to the conversation I had with Jerry Carlson.
Minnesota hunters can expect a drop in pheasant numbers this fall. The Department of Natural Resources says a harsh winter followed by a wet spring has led to a big decline in the state's pheasant counts.
I am always impressed when I see reports that talk about the number of grouse harvested each fall in Minnesota. Although I have been known to chase old ruff from time to time, they are not always on my radar screen. However, for many hunters, grouse rank at the top of the list as a game bird.
