The Vikings lost their final 2015 preseason game 24-17 Thursday night. The Vikings played only a few 1st team players. Taylor Heinicke played the entire game at quarterback for the Vikings and was 27-41 for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions.

The Vikings exercised the 5th year option on the rookie contracts of safety Harrison Smith and left tackle Matt Kalil. Fox sports was first to report the deals. Smith was the 29th pick in the 2012 NFL draft. He's due to make $5.278 Million in 2016.

A federal judge has ruled on the Adrian Peterson suspension, potentially paving the way for a roster move.

According to Viking Update on Twitter, Adrian Peterson will not be reinstated by the NFL before the end of the 2014 season, and could possibly be suspended into 2015.

The Vikings released their injury report yesterday and listed rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater as questionable with a left ankle sprain. Bridgewater was a limited participate in practice Wednesday mornings before the team left for Green Bay.

The Vikings are going with veteran Matt Cassel to be their starting quarterback week 1 when they open the regular season September 7 at St. Louis at noon, pregame on WJON at 11:00.

The Vikings agreed to sign first round draft picks quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and outside linebacker Anthony Barr. Bridgewater was selected with the 32nd pick in the 1st round while Barr was chosen #8 in the 1st round.
