Sartell Chooses Architect for Future Community Center Project

Sartell has made their decision on who they want as the architect of their future community center. During tonight's (Monday) city council meeting the council unanimously approved Murray Mack, of HMA Architect to take the lead on the designs for the future building.

St. Cloud City Council Grants Liquor Licenses to 3 New Businesses

The St. Cloud City Council has approved the liquor licenses for three new businesses. Lupine Brewing Company, in the former O'Hara's Brewhouse location, has been granted two special liquor licenses. Konrads is a new wine bar and bistro that will be coming to a historic building in downtown St. Cloud. The new Pizza Hut bar that's being planned at 305 5th Avenue South.

An eighth grade Sauk Rapids-Rice student has been eliminated from the Multi-State Regional Bee. Braden Martini, who won the Central Minnesota Regional Spelling Bee, lost in the first round of today's (Monday) contest held in Fergus Falls.

Sartell-St. Stephen School District Planning to Use Solar to Cut Energy Expenses

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District is expected to move forward tonight (Monday) with an energy-saving plan using solar power. Superintendent Jeff Schwiebert says Sunrise Energy Ventures is planning on building a solar farm on the old golf course down in Monticello, which is where the power would be generated.

Two People Arrested After Chase Through Waite Park, St. Cloud

Two people have been arrested after a police chase through Waite Park and St. Cloud. The incident began just after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday when a Waite Park police officer saw a traffic violation at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and 1st Street South.
