St. Cloud School Locked Down After Gun Mistake

St. Cloud police say an elementary school was briefly locked down after a man with a permit to carry a gun mistakenly walked into the school with the weapon.The incident happened at Lincoln Elementary at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday as students were being dismissed.

UPDATE: One Seriously Hurt In Rice Crash

RICE -- At least one person was hurt in a serious crash on Highway 10 in Rice. Traffic was delayed as the State Patrol worked to extricate one person from a vehicle and clear the scene.

Police Investigate Attempted Robbery

St. Cloud Police are investigating an attempted robbery late Thursday night along 5th Avenue South. One man was punched, his female friends were not hurt. Police say it happened sometime between 11:30 p.m. and midnight.

St. Cloud Sertoma Club Honors Local Humanitarian

The St. Cloud area Sertoma Club has selected their recipient of the annual "SERvice TO MAnkind" award. Jan Hanson of Sartell is the co-founder of the organization "200 Orphanages Worldwide."

District 742 Hosting Budget Input Meeting Tonight

You have another chance tonight (Tuesday) to give your input on possible cuts to the St. Cloud Area School District's budget. A public meeting and review of the district's budget process and finances will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Apollo High School Learning Resource Center.

The Stearns County Board of Commissioners have approved a plan to hire an interim Human Services Director. County Administrator George Rindelaub says they'll offer the job to Dave Rooney.

Oil Prices Skyrocket Amid Libyan Unrest

Oil prices are up again today by 6-percent to $95 a barrel meaning you should expect another jump at the gas pump today or tomorrow. First Fuel banks owner Jim Feneis says despite the unrest in Libya, oil supplies are healthy. Even so, he says oil is a futures market and traders buy and sell on fears.
