Warmup Worries Central Minnesota Maple Syrup Makers

Some maple syrup producers in central Minnesota are worried that last weekend's warmup could affect production. Temperatures were near 70 degrees over the weekend. The weather is similar to the 2012 syrup production season, which is one of the lowest on record.

Body Found in Melrose Identified as Man Missing Since October

The body found off the Lake Wobegon Trail in Melrose on Sunday night has been identified. In a news release, Melrose Police Chief Craig Maus says the man was identified as 22-year-old Edgar Juarez.

St. Joseph has approved financing for a new Central Minnesota Credit Union office building. City administrator Judy Weyrens says the council approved $125,000 in tax financing to help fill a shortage in the project on Monday night.
