A handful of businesses in St. Cloud have recently closed their doors, leading some to be concerned about the local economy. Over the last couple of weeks, several stores like New York & Company and The Wet Seal, Deb, The Limited and P.S. From Aeropostale in the Crossroads Center also announced they will be closing.

A focus group met last (Thursday) night with the developers of a planned loft-style condominium project in downtown St. Cloud. Rod Lindquist is the spokesman for the developer Makenda LLC. He says the response to the project has been positive.

St. Cloud Police Respond to Three Car Crash

St. Cloud Police responded to a three car crash at the intersection of Washington Memorial Drive and University Drive South on Thursday night. The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m. Police say an SUV driven by 50-year-old Debra Jones of St. Cloud was traveling east on University Drive attempting to make a left turn onto Washington Memorial Drive.
