A check scam targeting senior citizens is circulating in Central Minnesota. The Benton County Sheriff's Office says the scam involves a fake check being mailed to a senior with a letter telling them that they have won the lottery.
Authorities are looking for a hungry burglar who appears to be breaking into campers in Clear Lake to steal snacks and food. The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says on October 1st, a camper was broken into in a Clear Lake campground.
A Long Prairie Man is facing charges for allegedly stealing pumpkins from a nearby farm. The Todd County Sheriff's Office says they received a call at about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday from 56-year-old John Petron of rural Long Prairie.

A man was arrested in Mille Lacs County Monday morning after leading police on a chase that started in Foley. The chase started at about 8:20 a.m. on Highway 23 in Foley. Police attempted to stop 31-year-old Derek Stirn of St. James for having a stolen truck from Dirtwoods 2000 of Sauk Rapids.
