Carol passed away on the morning of August 4, 2015. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 9 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the services on Monday, August 10 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 10 at the church with lunch after.

Carol (Korman) graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1958 and then received her certification as a Registered Nurse from St. Gabriel’s School of Nursing in Little Falls, Minnesota. She began working at the St. Cloud V.A. Hospital, where she retired in 2004 after a career that spanned nearly 43 years! In the course of those 43 years she also married Lloyd Eversman, raised their three children, did more than her share of the work on the family farm, AND went back to school to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the College of St. Benedict and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. After retiring from the V.A. as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health, Carol turned her attention to the newest addition of the family, her only grandchild, Autumn. Despite the fact that they were separated by two thousand miles, Carol saw Autumn regularly and the two developed a very special bond.

Until the recent onset of the cancer that ultimately took her life, Carol was a very physically active and fit woman whose favorite leisure time activity was work—hard work. She was never happier than when she had a rake in her hand or was on a ladder with a paint brush. She was creative in her approach to every project and always finished what she started. If there were only two words to describe Carol, they would probably be inspired and passionate.

Carol is survived by her husband Lloyd Eversman, children Ginger Eversman, Klark (Leslie Luoto) Eversman, and Jill Eversman; granddaughter Autumn Eversman; brothers and sisters Ken Korman, Mary (Mike) Gillham, Therese (El) Haus, Barb (Joe) Styles, and John (Pam) Korman.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Alice Korman and sister-in-law Dorothy Korman.

The family would like to give special thanks to Pam Korman and Karen Ranta for the care and comfort they provided Carol and the whole family.
