Carol Herbes, 81, Foley

Carol Herbes, age 81, of Foley, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Parish Prayers will be held at 5 PM Wednesday.

Carol Florence Herbes was born December 26, 1933 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota to Donald and Hazel Emard. She married Theodore 'Ted' Herbes on February 12, 1955 in Faribault. The couple lived in the Twin Cities until 1989 when they moved to Foley. Carol enjoyed raising her children, reading with her cats, playing piano and singing in the church choir. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the St. Lawrence Christian Mothers.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ted of Foley; children: Theodore E. (Mauri Jo) of Kent, WA, Roberta (Myron) Aadland of Isle, Donald (Kathy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, James of Prior Lake, David (Jan) of Milaca, Marie (Allan) Evenski of Maple Lake, John of Minneapolis, Michael of Crystal, Patty Anderson of Crystal, Louis (Katie) of Mound and Andrew (Tamara) of St. Bonifacius; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita (Anthony) Fazio of Duluth; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Daniel and son-in-law, Tony Anderson.
