MELROSE - He's back on the road. Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow says he's a bit sore but otherwise okay.

He was helping a driver who'd struck a median cable on I-94 near Melrose yesterday (Tuesday) when another driver lost control and slammed into his patrol SUV.

Grabow, who also serves as the Patrol's public information officer for central Minnesota, says the result may have been much worse had he still been outside his squad.

The other driver was going at least 70 miles an hour and was cited for inattentive driving.
