Car, 2 Northstar Trains Collide Near Elk River

Metro Transit officials report that the car was struck by both northbound and southbound trains Tuesday evening.

The trains were being delayed and buses being used to transport commuters.

Tuesday's crash was the second train-car collision this week. A woman and her infant son escaped injury Monday morning when the car they were in was hit by a Northstar commuter train in Elk River.
