SHAKOPEE (AP) - Canterbury Park opens its live horse racing season on Friday.

Post time is 6:30 p.m. Racing continues Saturday and Sunday with a new post time of 12:45 p.m.

The racing season is the 20th since the Shakopee track reopened in 1995.

Friday's eight-race program features the 10,000 Lakes Stakes, a $60,000 six-furlong sprint restricted to horses bred in Minnesota.

Canterbury also will offer a simulcast of the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown, on Saturday.

General admission is $6, with an additional charge for indoor, reserved seating. Children 17 and younger are admitted free.

The 69-day race meet runs through Sept. 13.
