CAMP RIPLEY - A 100-acre solar energy array is being built at Camp Ripley.

The Minnesota National Guard and Minnesota Power of Duluth are partnering to build a 10-megawatt utility-scale facility.

It will be the largest solar energy installation on any National Guard base in the country. It will also be among Minnesota's largest single-site solar arrays.

The project is expected to cost $25 million, and should be completed in either 2015 or 2016.
