LITTLE FALLS - Military vehicles and technology were on display and open for the public to see at the Camp Ripley open house today.

Tanks, planes, artillery, and unmanned aerial surveillance vehicles were all on the scene. members of the community were able to see this military technology up close during the open house.

An open house is held every other year at the camp to allow both community and military family members a closer look at the equipment the Army uses for training.

"The purpose is to show the community the equipment that we use for our training." Public Affairs Officer Major John Donovan said.

Today's theme was 'Heroes on the Home Front", recognizing those behind the scenes, and those who continue to assist the military here at home. A ceremony was held to honor family members, employers, and civic organizations during the event.

"What we're doing today is really saying thank you to the husbands, wives, employers, and family members of the men and women who serve in our armed services." Donovan said.

Camp Ripley is a 53,000 Acre military training facility located in Little Falls. Camp Ripley trains military, federal, state, local, and civilian communities.
