Calling All Animal Lovers: The Humane Society Needs Volunteers [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD -- The Tri-County Humane Society is in need of volunteer help for day-to-day operations and upcoming events.

Rose Hegerle, Volunteer and Humane Education Coordinator for the Tri-County Humane Society, says the organization is looking for reliable and caring volunteers.

Events like this weekend's Pet Expo usually draw more interest from volunteers and Hegerle says the Humane Society needs more help for Wine, Kibbles, and Bits in April. The upcoming event includes...

Responsibilities at events include transporting animals, socializing with the animals as well as customers, and processing adoption paperwork.

Aside from the events, Hegerle says the Humane Society needs more volunteer help at the shelter.

To get involved, Hegerle says volunteers must fill out an application, pass a background check, and attend a volunteer orientation.
