UNDATED -- Recent rains and the subsequent "green-up" is prompting the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to lift the burning restrictions in a number of Minnesota counties.

The DNR says the decreased fire danger means permits will be available to burn vegetation.

The DNR reminds you to check with your local city or county government regarding burning rules first.

Permits are available through state and federal forestry offices or from local fire wardens.
