HOPKINS (AP) — A Hopkins bike shop owner is out of thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise after a burglar struck his business.

A burglar — or burglars — broke into Jonny Rock Bikes around 5 a.m. Saturday and made off with upward of $10,000 worth of bikes and biking gear.

The shop's owner, Jonathan Minks, says the thief or thieves knew what to grab because they left the inexpensive bikes behind. He says he feels violated and thinking that someone was in the shop going through his stuff makes him sick to his stomach.

Police in Wayzata are investigating another bike shop burglary that took place last week around 5 a.m., too.
