Budweiser Spot Features Minneapolis Singer [VIDEO]

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A heartwarming public service announcement from Budweiser is generating a lot of attention for a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis.

Dan Rodriguez is the artist you hear in the spot called "Friends are Waiting" in which the beer company reminds viewers not to drink and drive because there's always someone waiting for your safe arrival. In this case a Labrador retriever.

The online-only video has already garnered 15 million views since it was released about a week ago. Rodriguez says a friend working on the Budweiser project thought that he would be a good fit for the soundtrack. Rodriguez says the exposure has driven traffic to his website as well. He's talking with Budweiser about releasing the full-length track of the song.
