Broken Sewage Pipe Repaired, Road to Reopen

SARTELL -- Drivers will be allowed to take Stearns County Road 1 later today (Wednesday).

The road was closed yesterday (Tuesday) between 9th Avenue North in St. Cloud and County Road 120 by Walmart in Sartell, due to a broken sewage pipe.

Sartell City Engineer Mike Nielson says the sewage pipe was repaired at about 9:00 p.m. last night and they are currently working on getting the road back into shape for traffic.

Nielson says they don't know the cause of the break.

The road is expected to be open at about 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.
