Benton County authorities say a 13-year-old developmentally-disabled boy -- who had run away from his parents early Saturday afternoon -- was safely found in Rice.

Benton County Chief Deputy Troy Heck says an alert citizen in Rice saw Joshua Staebler as he was walking around 10:30 p.m. Saturday and called the Benton County Sheriff's Department.

Heck says deputies took custody of the boy and were in the process of returning him to his parents.

Heck says the boy did not receive any injuries while he was away from his parents' custody.

An air and ground search was conducted for the boy after he ran away from his parents while at a a business about a mile east of St. Cloud, approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A search of the area -- by both ground and air -- failed to locate him.  But an alert citizen spotted him walking in Rice and called police.
