ST. CLOUD - Central Minnesota will get its first taste of Brazilian cuisine.

Rio Grill is a new restaurant opening this week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

Rio Grill owner Idelia DeBoer came to St. Cloud from Boston four years ago, and has been planning the restaurant for just as long.

DeBoer says she and her staff are looking forward to introducing central Minnesota to Brazilian cooking.

The restaurant includes an open kitchen with a flat-top grill where patrons can see their food being prepared.

DeBoer says while meat factors prominently into Brazilian food, many meals, especially breakfast, center around fresh fruits and shakes.

Rio Grill is located next to Cashwise West along 33rd Avenue South.
