Boy Hit By Pick-Up Near Fort Ripley

FORT RIPLEY - An eight-year-old boy was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital on Saturday when he was hit by a truck in Morrison County.

The 40-year-old driver was southbound in his pick-up on Jewel Road, north of County Road 48, when the boy crossed the road on his bike.  The incident happened just before 11:00 a.m.

The boy's condition was not immediately known.  The names of the boy and the driver, both from Fort Ripley, were not released.
