MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A 10-year-old boy who was found hanging from a clothesline in the back yard of an abandoned home in Minneapolis has died.

Neighbors found the boy hanging from a wire attached to this clothesline Thursday. Police say he died Monday evening.

Police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington says investigators are reaching out to other children who had been playing with the boy, but they don't know if they were with him when it happened.

Police say they won't speculate about what happened until they finish talking with the other kids.

Neighbors say the victim was from Georgia and was visiting family in Minneapolis. They described him as a polite young man who had been in the neighborhood for a couple weeks.

His name has not yet been released.
