Boom Truck Operator Hurt In Todd County Accident

BERTHA - A worker was hurt when the boom truck he was operating tipped over. The Todd County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 4:00 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) near Bertha.

A tree trimming crew from Grand Rapids was trimming trees and brush along power lines for Minnesota Power. The boom truck operator had extended his bucket and boom over the top of power lines when it tipped over on its side.

The truck operator was taken to Tri County Hospital.

The truck was a total loss.
