UNDATED - The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning from through noon on Tuesday.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected today and tonight, but a warming trend is expected for the 2nd half of the week.

The National Weather Service says our coldest high temperature ever is 20 below - which happened three times (Feb 2nd, 1996, Jan 22nd, 1936, and Feb 8th, 1899).

Some of the other coldest high temperatures ever in St. Cloud:
19 below on Dec 23rd, 1983 and on Jan 12th, 1912
18 below on Jan 16th, 1982 and on Jan 14th, 1972
17 below on Feb 1st, 1996, Jan 18th, 1994 and on Jan 28th 1996

The coldest low temperature ever recorded in St. Cloud was 43 below back on January 9th 1977.

Weather experts say exposed flesh will freeze in just 5-10 minutes with these extremely cold wind chills, so limiting your time outside is advised.
