Body Of Coon Rapids Man Recovered From St. Croix

TAYLORS FALLS (AP) - Chisago County sheriff's officials say the body of a Coon Rapids man who disappeared after jumping into the St. Croix River to help his nephew has been recovered.

Tou Hu Vang's body was found by fishermen Friday morning.

Vang was fishing with his 11-year-old nephew last Sunday when the boy slipped into swift-moving river. Vang and a bystander jumped in to rescue the boy. The bystander was able to pull the boy to safety, but Vang vanished under water.
