CLARKFIELD (AP) — Rescue workers spent more than 6 hours emptying a grain bin in southwestern Minnesota before finding the body of a 77-year-old man.

Yellow Medicine County sheriff's authorities say Richard Rosetter of rural Granite Falls was reported missing Monday afternoon.

Rosetter had been in and out of the bin near Clarkfield while workers emptied it of corn. He was last seen about 2 p.m., and workers said they thought he had left with his wife.

But when she returned without him, workers began to search for Rosetter and called 911 at 4:40 p.m.

Rosetter's body was discovered in the bin after rescuers emptied it. He was dead at the scene.
