Body Found in Melrose Identified as Man Missing Since October

MELROSE - The body found off the Lake Wobegon Trail in Melrose on Sunday night has been identified.

In a news release, Melrose Police Chief Craig Maus says the man was identified as 22-year-old Edgar Juarez.

The body was found by police on Sunday night. Maus says they found it in a lightly wooded area in the 700 Block of 2nd Street Southeast.

An autopsy done by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office determined he died of a self-inflicted gun-shot wound to the head.

Juarez was reported missing to police on October 28th last year but hasn't been seen since October 20th.

The family has been notified.
