Body Found Floating In Fridley Pond

FRIDLEY (AP) - The body of a man has been found floating in a pond at a Fridley nature reserve.

Someone walking near a pond at the Springbrook Nature Center called police after spotting the body Monday morning.

Fridley police, the Anoka County sheriff's office and other authorities were recovering the body.

Sheriff's department spokesman Paul Sommer says the body might be anchored to something because it is not moving in the water, despite strong winds.

He says the case is being treated as a crime until they know otherwise.
