The St. Louis Blues beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night at Xcel Energy Center. The Blues now lead the best-of-seven series one game to none.

Vladimir Sobotka, who made his season debut with the Blues on April 6th after leaving the KHL, scored for St. Louis at 6:46 of the second period to break a scoreless tie.

Zach Parise sent the 19,168 fans at the X into a frenzy when he scored the game-tying goal at 19:37 of the third to send the game to overtime.

However, the Blues would have the last laugh, with Joel Edmondson scoring the game-winner at 17:48 of the extra period.

The Wild will host the Blues for game two of the series Friday night. The game can be heard on AM 1390 KXSS, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:45.
