Blue Jays Beat Twins 2-1
The Twins lost 2-1 at home to Toronto Saturday night despite a solid Twins' debut for P.J. Walters. Walters threw 6 innings with 2 earned runs allowed but takes the loss for Minnesota. Drew Hutchinson threw 6 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win for the Blue Jays. Joe Mauer and Brian Dozier were each 2-4 at the plate for Minnesota. The Twins managed just 5 hits.
Minnesota falls to 9-24 and will host Toronto again today in the final game of the 4-game series at 1:10, pregame on WJON at 12:40. Lefthander Scott Diamond (1-0) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Ricky Romero (4-0) toes the rubber for Toronto.
