The Twins lost 6-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday night in the first game of a 4-game series at Target Field.  Jason Marquis allowed 7 hits and 5 earned runs in 4 innings to take the loss and drop to 2-2.  Manager Ron Gardenhire wasn't happy with Marquis' strike to ball ratio.  Marquis threw 86 pitches, 46 strikes and 40 balls.  Josh Willingham hit a solo homerun, his 7th and Erik Komatsu had 2 hits for the Twins.  Henderson Alvarez allowed 1 earned run in 7 innings to get the win for the Blue Jays.

The Twins are 8-23 and will host Toronto again tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Nick Blackburn (0-4) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Kyle Drabek (2-3) toes the rubber for the Blue Jays.
