SAUK RAPIDS - A few extra amenities are coming to the park along the Mississippi River in Sauk Rapids. The Great River Rotary Club is donating $6,000 to the city to install a bike fix-it station near the scenic overlook.

That will include a stand that a person biking along the trail can mouth their bike to.  It will have an air pump and tools attached to it. So you can do some minor repairs to your bike as you're going through Sauk Rapids.

Rotarian Steve Paasch says they're also adding an informational kiosk, some benches, and a bike rack.

Paasch says, along with the money, they'll also be rolling up their sleeves and pitching-in.

Putting our own sweat equity into the project. Rotary looks at projects that can involve as many of our club members as possible.

He says the work should be done by the end of the summer.
