ST. CLOUD - Cribbage players young and old are competing this weekend in St. Cloud. The 7th Annual "Granite City Classic" starts today (Thursday) and runs through Tuesday at the VFW Post 428.

Spokesman Mike Burns says the special one-day "Junior Classic" is tomorrow (Friday).  He says cribbage is a game that's now being taught in the St. Cloud school district.

Burns says the Junior Tournament is unique because it's the only one that offers scholarship money to the winners. They've awarded over $5,000 in the first five years.

Tomorrow's tournament is open to 5th through 12th graders.  It starts at 8:00 a.m. and walk-ins are welcome.

Meanwhile, some of the best cribbage players in the country are in town for the 7th annual "Granite City Classic". It's a six-day event that started today (Thursday) and runs through Tuesday.
