ST. CLOUD -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota is hosting their annual bowling fundraiser this weekend at Southway Bowl in St. Cloud.

Bowl For Kids' Sake is a national campaign to raise money to help place more kids and teens into the program.

The organization hopes to raise $40,000 which will help to place about 40 youth. There is a $35 minimum fee per bowler.

You can choose to bowl tomorrow (Friday), and Saturday, as well as next Friday, October 11th. This year's theme is, "School Spirit Bowl Fest." You are encouraged to wear your old sports uniform or letterman jacket.

Shari Wahlin is the Development Director for central Minnesota Big Brothers Big Sisters. She says there are many opportunities to win prizes.

Last year the program raised about $32,000 which helped them place 32 kids and teens. Wahlin says there are about 160 youth waiting to be matched with a big brother or big sister.

Funds will also help conduct background checks as well as provide mentor training.
