Big Brothers Big Sisters Looking For Award Nominees

ST. CLOUD -- Big Brother Big Sisters of Central Minnesota is looking for nominees for its annual BriAnna Kruzel Growing Up Big Award.

The award was started five years ago in honor of BriAnna Kruzel. Kruzel, who was both a big and little in the program unexpectedly passed away in September 2013.

Ann Matvick of Big Brothers Big Sisters says the award goes to someone who is positively affecting the community.

"What we are looking for is someone who is giving back to the community. Previous winners have been involved with churches or other area civic groups."

Nominations for the award are being accepted through February 2nd. To be eligible for the award you had to either be involved as a little or as a high school mentor in the program. Nominees do not currently have to be matched with a little to be eligible for the award.

The winner will receive the award at the Big Brothers Big Sisters' Magic Moments Gala on April 13th, 2018.
