MONTICELLO -- A bicyclist is hurt after being struck by a vehicle in Monticello.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened Monday, shortly before 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of School Boulevard and Fallon Avenue.

Deputies say a 16-year-old boy was riding his bike north on Fallon Avenue and was crossing School Boulevard in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle that was heading west.

The bicyclist was taken to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, was not hurt. However, her vehicle was towed from the scene.

Both of the teenagers are students at Monticello High School. The crash remains under investigation.
