Biathlon Brings Soldiers From Five State Area To Camp Ripley [AUDIO]

CAMP RIPLEY — Soldiers from the five state area will gather at Camp Ripley tomorrow (Friday) to compete in the National Guard Regional Biathlon.

Athletes will compete in cross-country skiing sprints, mid-distance, and marathon laps and testing their accuracy by shooting at targets.

Winners of each event will go on to the National Guard Bureau National Championships in Vermont.

The two day event goes from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. The event is open to the public. You must have a valid driver’s license to gain access to Camp Ripley.
