Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 23, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Bernice Magnuson- Zupan, age 96, of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday at Country Manor in Sartell. Burial will be at Benton Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Bernice was born on December 13, 1919 in St. Cloud to Joseph and Pauline (Cekalla) Feia. She married James Magnuson on July 9, 1940 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. James became ill and passed away after 32 years of marriage in March of 1973. Bernice married Robert Zupan on December 29, 1990 at the St. Cloud Hospital, he passed away in 1996. Bernice worked as a waitress at Ivan’s in the Park in Waite Park for over 30 years. She was also a food demonstration worker at Coborn’s until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud and also a member of the Christian Mothers. Bernice also volunteered at the St. Cloud Hospital. Bernice enjoyed shopping and baking, especially apple pie. She was a happy person who was always smiling. Bernice was a very caring, generous, honest and selfless person. She loved her family and grandchildren deeply and always put her family first.

Bernice is survived by her children, Gary (Sharry) Magnuson of St. Cloud, Mona (Jim) Zwilling of Sartell; grandchildren, Becky (Steve) Lutgen, Paula (Bill) Thelen, Brian Zwilling; great grandchildren, Shelbey Jurek, Blake Magnuson, Dalton Thelen, Carter Thelen; and one great great grandson, Calvin Hoops. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son, Dale Magnuson; siblings, Lon Feia, Amanda Thomas, Victor Feia, Priscilla Erickson, Kenneth Feia, Eleanor Reed and Vernon Feia.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Country Manor Pinecone Staff and the Heartland Hospice team for the excellent care that was given to Bernice.
